Hello there good followers,
I haven't had a chance to blog in a while so please excuse my serious case of MIA.
So off to a flying start, a lot has happened since my last blog, I have been mixing up my gym sesssions and trading for group training on the street and running group training. Trying to shock my body back into weight loss after a 3 week plateau and I know it's cliche but I can tell the difference from weight loss 3 years ago v's now.
I'm happy to report however, that this morning was a 300g loss on the scales (I know this doesn't sound like much but when you are trying to squeeze into those jeans from last winter this can have a serious effect on getting them over your thighs). So training has been a mix of pump class, step class, PT sessions and group training sessions which are surprisingly fun after it's all said and done and you are sipping on a lovely espresso somewhere in New Farm area.
The weather outside is becoming a bit of a bore, it's raining again today and running training is suppose to be a 5.30pm for the upcoming Mothers Day Classic 8k run which is only 20 days away. Tuesday will be my rest day this week and over Easter I intend to spend my time rearranging my bookshelf, working out and playing boardgames with girlfriends while we hunt for eggs around a townhouse....
So back to motivation, going to the gym 5-6 times per week, eating right and not losing anything for 3 weeks is not the greatest of motivators, with the cruise coming up and a serious overhaul to fit into my bikini from last summer at hand it's hard to push through. SO what do you do to stay motivated, your going to the gym...CHECK, you have friends around you who are supportive....CHECK, and a partner if you are luck....CHECK..... So how to stay on track.
I do not have the answer, pushing through the last few g's or kg's is probably the hardest thing to do, sometimes you might have to realise that the 'cate' from 3 years ago perhaps isn't coming back, body changes, hormones change and maybe this is the 'cate' I can expect to keep on track for a while. So I guess what I'm saying here is again the old cliche, love who you are, if you are a beautiful soul inside and feel good about yourself on the outside then why push it harder?....you're already there!
xx Stay Awesome
